The Tree of Life

Joseph Gomez
I sat in the old portable classroom of p -13
Next to me there was an individual who was acting very joyful
He was even gibber gabbering
I was touching a small orange sphere
It was soft rubbery like
Pealing through the skin Inside were full of root like material and white mold like stuff.
A crescent like shape when torn apart
Juicy center
Sour and sweet juice
A fruit from the tree of life
An old tree that's been there hundreds of years
As a threw away the worthless peals
The root like strings were stuck on me
All this time it took to grow
The roots stuck on me like a brain parasite
Once in the trash
I sat in the desk
And spend another day here
The tangerine tasted like an orange juicy and sweet
I sat there thinking about when the tree dies it will make no more tangerines.
Just like when a stranger leaves you never got to know them so if they leave you might never see them again
